Terms of service
The deal between you and us when you use this site, price a clean, join a list or book a crew, written to be read in one sitting.
Revised October 27, 2026
Launch status
We’re taking our first New York move-outs. A request saves your price and asks us to line up a crew. Your date locks only when you say yes, in writing, to the named cleaning company, the date and the price.
A request is free and binds no one
Pricing a clean, joining a list or holding a spot costs nothing and commits you to nothing: there’s no contract and no charge. We bill only after you’ve clearly accepted a written price, and for a clean, only once the work is finished.
Our services, prices and timing may shift. When a shift touches you, you’ll get an email. Should we decide against launching, we’ll say so and erase your information.
Partner crews, named up front
We arrange the clean and build the report; an independent cleaning company does the cleaning. That company employs its own crew, has passed our checks and works for us under a written subcontract, and we never place individual workers in homes. Its name reaches you in writing before you commit.
Where any part of a job legally needs a license, only a business that holds one does that part.
The job card is the scope
Every move-out and move-in clean covers the job card published on our site. Outside it: repairs, patching or painting; carpet or upholstery shampooing; mold, pest or biohazard work; hauling junk, furniture or bulk trash; exterior windows; post-renovation dust; and moving help.
Tax-included prices and the 30-day hold
New York prices on this site already include New York sales tax. Any price shown here is the price you get for a request sent while it’s on the page. A quote holds for 30 days unless the apartment isn’t what the request said; a change reaches you for a yes before the job, never on the day. Add-ons ride along on the same visit and the same invoice.
Invoice after the clean
Asking for a date costs $0, and you won’t find a card field anywhere on this site. When the crew is done and your report is delivered, an invoice arrives by email and you pay it by card. Splitting with roommates? Say so before paying and we’ll send up to four separate payment links.
Rescheduling and cancelling
Moving the date or cancelling costs nothing until 48 hours before your arrival window. Inside that, reply to your crew confirmation email and we’ll do what we can. During launch there are no late-cancellation fees; if that ever changes, the fee is shown before you say yes.
The re-clean promise
If your landlord, super or management flags a cleaning issue in writing within 7 days of your clean, and the item is on our job card, a crew comes back within 72 hours at no charge. Send us the note (an email, a text or a walkthrough list) as a reply to your report email, or paste it into our contact form.
If the building won’t allow the return visit, we refund 25% of the clean price for each cited room, up to the full price. Damage, paint, repairs and deductions that aren’t about cleaning fall outside the promise.
Late report credit
Reports are due within 24 hours of the clean; if yours lands later, $25 comes off your invoice.
Move-in records and $39 self-shot reports
Each move-out clean includes one free move-in record for your next apartment, used within 60 days of the clean. A self-shot report on its own is $39: we send a guided capture link and build the report from your photos, with no cleaning and no re-clean promise.
Deposit information, not legal advice
We publish general information about deposit rules plus a fill-in letter template. We aren’t a law firm: we don’t read your lease, weigh in on your dispute or contact your landlord for you, and we never promise what a landlord will hand back.
Limits on liability
We provide this site as is. Where the law allows, we carry no liability for knock-on (indirect) losses if a page is wrong or offline. Nothing here shrinks the protection consumer law gives you.
Unclear on a term?
You make this deal with Neat Exit (“we”, “us”). If a line here could be read two ways, put the question to us before you book a crew.
